ZEN : Relaxation -Many sages have been literally painted or portrayed as having partially open eyes only, as the nature of "gaze" can direct or affect your relaxation. When one is sharply focused on work or even a prey in the jungle, both human & animal bodies switch to 'alert mode' and most of us find ourselves in this tensed mind-body state due to overwork, anxiety and fears. So just softening the gaze can be practiced or used as a reminder to relax ourselves. Softening the gaze and partially closing our eyes during meditation induces relaxation far quicker than the ticking clock. A relaxed mind invites good fortune, so let's tweak our minds while fixing our environment.
DEN : Speaking about colors, someone asked me what their indulgence in Black says about them. A lot can be said about the colors we are drawn to, we just need to remember one simple rule that anything when used, consumed or occurring in excess may start exerting a negative influence instead of giving off it's positive qualities. Variation and rotation is the key.
Black on one hand brings out self-confidence and independence, if over used in accents or decor can be a sponge for bad chi or energy & keeps it dwelling there. If worn too much can isolate you or give you a serious, tense attitude affecting your relationships. There are many more good and bad qualities to Black but this should be enough for all to absorb. And remember, a color is not bad, only it's overuse can render it so.
Also, happy to share with everyone that the cutest baby girl was born to a lovely couple where the wife had had difficult pregnancies before. There was indeed a correlation between a broken fixture in their bedroom to the state of her reproductive organ. It was amazing. In this case, I didn't even see the pictures and detected what the trouble was and they got it fixed the very next day. There were no more complications and they are the first time parents. The guy wrote to me saying, "U r nothing less than an angel in my life." To which I say, I don't mind bringing other angels into life safely. :)
